It provides a chance for dialogue between business/industry partners and educators\, establishing valuable links between the workplace and the classroom. \n\nBy participating in this workshop as a 'Tour Stop' for a group of educators\, you are expanding our knowledge base\, making it easier to connect our students' learning to career interests and pathways. \n\n\n\nParticipants will be broken into groups of 6-9 individuals\, scheduled throughout the two and half days (Monday\, A.M.\, Monday P.M.\, Tuesday\, A.M.\, Tuesday\, P.M.). We have something scheduled for the whole group on Wednesday\, June 18th. \n\n\n\nPlease review the attached FLYER that contains more information. \n\n \n\nEducators in the Workplace \n\nMonday\, June 16th Wednesday\, June 18th\, 2024 \n\n \n\nIf you would like to participate and host a small group of educators (7-10 participants)\, click HERE to register by Thursday\, May 9th\, 2025. \n\n \n\nAs a participating business/organization: \n\n You will be invited to participate in our 'Welcome Breakfast' and 'Wrap Up Luncheon' (locations TBD). More information will be provided. \n As a host site\, 'Tour Stop'\, you agree to host a small group of educators (7-10 participants) for a 2-hour block at your location. (see times on attached flyer) \n As a host site\, you can select a specific date/time\, or choose multiple visits. \n Suggested activities: \n \n Organize a tour of your facility\, including as many departments as possible \n Engage in a discussion of different departmental functions and how they are related \n Introduce the participants to your organization's mission\, what your role is\, and possibly an overview of your supply chain and customers/clients \n If applicable\, involve participants in 'hands-on' projects or activities \n Discuss math\, science and communication foundations of the job \n Share copies of job descriptions and discuss various entry level options for employees \n \n \n\nIt is great to have businesses and organizations we can reach out to for events such as this and hope you are able to participate.
